Round 1 of the Race Championship Series in done and in the books...
The racing was great in every class. Brain Davis set the fastest lap in the Touring Main Event on lap 17 with a time of 8.1 seconds using a 17.5 motor system. He did the same in the 1/12 pan-car class with a time of 8.2 seconds. Charles Kelley set the fastest lap in the VTA Main Event on lap 14 with a time of 11.2 seconds.

Will this race be at the R/C Station? I'm not sure if I can make a 3:00 start time, I'd have a better chance of making it, if it where to start around 4:00...That would be me leaving straight from work...

The first qual race starts at 3:00PM. This should work for most. I will open at 9:00AM to run 1/5 scale and let others test and tune.

If there is a conflict with this time, let me know as soon as possible.

Monthly notices will go out by email to inform each of you of any other changes with programs associated with the RC Racing Station, 1racer.net, 1RacerTV or related activity.

A schedule will be placed on the forum’s calendar and later on the RC Racing Station's Internet site listing the days and hours of operation for the track. Information will be on the calendar to help everyone plan for upcoming events. Event registration will continue to be hosted at 1racer.net or the RC Racing Station.

Web updates for 1racer.net, the RC Racing Station, and the Mercury Hobby Company will be coming online soon. When you type in one of my domains, 1racer.net, RC Racing Station, etc, you will be taken to one site to choose your destination. This should make getting information and feedback simple.

Anyone that wants to run nitro at Zephyr should let me know as soon as possible. I have spoken with several racers that want to run nitro. Some have 1:8 inferno GT-style cars (IGT) and other have 1:10 scale cars. Unless additional assistance shows up, only one race a month will happen. If the number of participants is low at the first outing, the first may be the last.

Soon more parts and kits will be available to racers at the RC Racing Station's small online store. Most of the items on the site will be items that support the race classes. Additional items may be ordered.

Additionally, the RC Racing Station will have a booth for the third time at the New Orleans International Auto Show at the Morial Convention Center. Come see us.

Lastly, set in your mind that clocks are to go forward one hour on Sunday, March 14, 2010 at 2:00AM (0200HRS). This will give us more day-time racing- on-road and off-road.
